Head of Passenger Transport

The Head of Passenger Transport, Andrew Wilson, has the overall responsibility for the Passenger Transport Group which consists of five teams. The teams deal with the support for local bus services, home to school transport, community transport and some social services transport. The Group also lobbies for improvements to rail services and infrastructure, produces publicity for passenger transport services and works with operators to improve public transport facilities
The County Council budget for these services is approximately £30 million and the Passenger Transport Group works to draw in further funding from other partners. The services supported provide for 5 million bus passengers per year and 14,500 children are carried on each school day.
