Service Diversions during Rail Crossing Works

The Level crossing at Farnham Railway Station is currently closed to road traffic until further notice, whilst essential work is carried out.

During the period of closure routes 16, 46 & 74 will be subject to diversion via Approach Road & Alfred Road to resume normal route.

Arundel Festival

Due to the Arundel Festival taking place between 11:00 to 18:00, the Coastliner 700 will not be able to serve Arundel Town Centre during the above times the service will instead start and terminate in Mill Road Car Park (which is opposite the Arundel Castle Gates) where a temporary stop will be placed.

This will affect departures from Jarvis Road – 11:03 to 17:43 on Saturdays and 11:46 to 17:46 on Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday.

Damory Coaches 183/184

Great Dorset Steam Fair

The Great Dorset Steam Fair takes places at Tarrant Hinton, Blandford. To help you get there easily Damory Coaches will be running shuttle buses on routes 183/184. These buses will run throughout the show and will drop off and pick up from the special bus stop right inside the showground at gate 6.

There will also be extra journeys from the 27 - 30 August to provide a link from Salisbury and Blandford to the Steam Fair site.

Winchester area - route & timetable changes

Service 3 : City Centre to Weeke and Harestock.
The Thursday, Friday and Saturday late evening journeys will run 5 minutes later

Service 5/5A – City Centre to Badger Farm.
The daytime service on Monday to Friday is completely revised, with daytime journeys now getting 40 minutes instead of 33, to improve punctuality. Buses will also run up to every 9 minutes instead of every 10 minutes. Saturday and Sunday times will be largely unchanged. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday late evening journeys will run 5 minutes later.

Service 7 – Winchester to Sparsholt.
The peak double deck journeys for Sparsholt College students will be slightly revised, with one of the afternoon buses from the College terminating at Winchester Rail Station Subway.

Service 64/65 – Winchester to Alton, Alton to Guildford. Minor changes to some morning and evening peak journeys to better suit school children and college students. Sunday buses will have more time, to improve punctuality.

Service 67 – Winchester to Petersfield.
Stagecoach will run all Monday to Saturday journeys, so there will no longer be the need to change buses at West Meon Hut to travel between Winchester and Petersfield.

Service 69 – Winchester to Fareham.
Morning peak journeys towards Winchester during school holidays will be rerimed to arrive earlier due to reduced volumes of traffic.

Service 86 – Winchester to Basingstoke.
Minor timetable revisions. Monday to Friday afternoon journeys from Winchester after 1500 will generally leave 5 minutes earlier and be allowed more time as far as Whitchurch to improve punctuality. The 0715 journey from Overton to Winchester will also run 5 minutes earlier to improve punctuality.

There are also changes to the network of services especially for Peter Symonds students, numbered PS1 to PS12. These buses may be used by anyone, and will provide some useful links, for example daytime journeys between Andover and Winchester.

Havant, Portsmouth & Waterlooville route & timetable changes

Service 20: Havant to Portsmouth
Most journeys are re-timed to improve punctuality. The current journeys departing from Havant at 1920 and 2000 and Portsmouth at 2020 will no longer run due to poor patronage.

Service 21: Havant to Portsmouth
Most journeys are re-timed to improve punctuality. Additional evening journeys will run at 2000 from Havant and 2105 from Portsmouth on Mondays to Saturdays.

Sunday buses will now run every 20 minutes between Anchorage Park and Portsmouth.

Service 39: Havant to Wecock Farm
Most journeys are re-timed to improve punctuality.

Service 727: Chichester to South Downs College
This afternoon journey on this service will no longer run due to poor patronage - alternative journeys can be made using routes 37 or 39 and 700. The morning journey is unaffected and will continue to run at current times.

Services 737 & 747 to South Downs College
Buses on these routes will now operate non-stop between Buriton Crossroads and South Downs College in each direction. This means that stops at Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Bedhampton Asda will no longer be served - these stops will continue to be served by buses on route 37. There are no changes to current times.

Stagecoach 1/91A & School/College services

Route & timetable changes Aldershot/Farnborough

Service 1: Aldershot to Old Dean
Minor changes to Monday to Friday peak journeys to improve punctuality. Sunday buses will now run every 15 minutes during the daytime and are re-timed to improve punctuality.

Service 91A Midhurst Rother College
This route will no longer run following the end of the current contract with West Sussex County Council. Students should contact the Council for details of any alternative transport provision.

Service 401: Camberley to All Hallows School
The afternoon journey on this service will now depart at 1530 and run 5mins later throughout. The morning journey is unchanged.

Services to and from The Sixth Form College Farnborough

Our college services to and from Farnborough are being improved for the start of the Autumn Term.

As part of these changes, the current afternoon-only journey on route 401 from Bradfords Garage to Aldershot will no longer run - it being largely replaced by new route 422.

Current route 430 (operated by Fleet Buzz) will also no longer run - Basingstoke will be served only by current journeys on route 30, new route 421 will serve Hook, and routes 82/418 serve Blackwater and Frogmore.

First Services

Due to the Wiggle Triathlon, roads in Southsea will be closed between 06.00 and 13.00.

This will affect several First services which will take the following diversions during the triathlon.

Service 16: Departures at 10.02, 11.0 and 12.02 from the Hayling ferry will take normal route to Eastney Road roundabout. Here, they will turn into Highland Road and Albert Road and turn right into Victoria Road to traffic lights.

They will then turn left into Elm Grove to traffic lights and left into Grove Road South and left into Portland Road to the end.

They will turn left into Osborne Road/Clarendon Road to the Strand roundabout and take the first exit into Waverley Road to the traffic lights. They will turn right into Albert Road/Highland Road to roundabout and then back onto normal route.

Service 1 from City Centre will take normal route to Highland Road then into Albert Road to the traffic lights. They will then turn left into Waverley Road to roundabout where they will turn into Clarendon Road to Debenhams. There, they will go right into Portland Road to end.

They will turn right into Elm Grove to traffic lights, turn left into Victoria Road North to roundabout and there, take the first exit into Winston Churchill Avenue to roundabout.

Service 1 will then go via Isambard Brunel Road to roundabout, take first exit into Stanhope Road to roundabout, then take the third exit into city centre south to bus stop where it will terminate.

Service 1 leaving via Old Portsmouth will go from city centre to Bradford Junction roundabout then into Victoria Road North to traffic lights. Buses will turn right into Elm Grove to traffic lights where they will turn left into Grove Road South.

They will turn left to the end of Portland Road, left into Osborne Road/Clarendon Road to the Strand roundabout.

From there, they will go into Waverley Road to traffic lights, where they will turn right into Albert Road/Highland Road ro roundabout then will take normal route back to the Railway Station roundabout into city centre.

Service 2 to city centre will take normal route to Isambard Brunel Road to Railway Station roundabout where they will take the first exit into Stanhope Road to roundabout. There they will take the third exit to city centre south where the service will terminate.

Service 2 to Paulsgrove shops will take the normal route to city centre.

Services 3 and 8 to The Hard will take normal route to Unicorn Road and will terminate in the city centre.

Service 7 will take normal route to Winston Churchill Avenue and will terminate at Ibis Hotel. Return journeys will start from the bus stop outside the Winston Churchill Avenue Law Courts.

Services 13 and 14 will terminate in the city centre.

Service 17 will take the normal route to Highland Road then carry on to Albert Road traffic lights. There, buses will turn left into Waverley Road to roundabout and then will turn into Clarendon Road and back on normal route.

Closure of Petersfield Road

Due to the closure of Petersfield Road at Greatham for up to 6 weeks for water main works outside Greatham Primary School we will be unable to serve Greatham Village or Longmoor Road for the duration of the closure.

Stagecoach 7

Westley Lane, Sparsholt will be closed

Westley Lane, Sparsholt (from the junction of B3049 Stockbridge Road to the entrance of Sparsholt College) will be closed. Service 7 will not be able to serve the Village or the College during the works.

The nearest stop to board or alight will be Sparsholt Church, on Church Lane, for the duration of the closure.

In order to undertake the works safely, it will be necessary to close the road to traffic for the first 5 weeks of the work and then between 0930-1600hrs for the final week.

If the works are not completed during the holiday period then the works will be suspended until another school holiday period where they will be completed.

Stagecoach 4, 5, 66 & Park & Ride

Disruption to services in Winchester.

Major road works on Romsey Road, in conjunction with the Pitt Manor development will be starting next week for three months. The road works will create 4 way temporary traffic lights at the Kilham Lane/Stanmore Lane junction, with temporary traffic signals on Romsey Road to allow the road to be narrowed to one lane.

The works are due to start on 21 July and will be in place 24 hours a day until 31 August. The road works will then take place in off peak hours from 1 September to 13 October. Night closures of Romsey Road will then take place from the 20 October to the 2 November.

We are expecting delays on the 4, 5, 66 and Park & Ride service throughout these road works.
