Funding
Funding is a key element of existing and new transport schemes. There are a number of options available for funding transport services and schemes in Hampshire.
- Environment Department (Hampshire County Council) - provides financial support for the setting up and operation of passenger transport services
- Policy and Resources Committee (Hampshire County Council) - one-off grants provided by Hampshire County Council towards the cost of purchasing a minibus
- District Councils - have discretionary powers to support passenger transport schemes. Various funding may be available to support a new or existing project
- The Big Lottery Fund - the National Lottery’s Big Lottery Fund awards a variety of grants to suit different organisations and projects.
- Futurebuilders - a one off Government fund injection of £125m to assist voluntary and community sector organisations in the delivery of their public services.
- Council of Voluntary Service: Most Council of Voluntary Services offer a 'Search for Funding' service
