The Environment Department looks after many aspects of life in Hampshire, including roads – we are responsible for maintaining 5250 miles of road – pavements, street lighting and school transport to name just a few.
CCBS is the Council’s centre for community support and technical and business services.
The Children Act 2004 places a duty on services to ensure that every child, whatever their background or circumstances, has the support they need to be healthy; stay safe; enjoy and achieve through learning; make a positive contribution to society and achieve economic well-being.
Supporting over 95,000 people in Hampshire, the Adult Services Department provides a wide range of services.
Finance is responsible for all aspects of finance for Hampshire County Council. This responsibility ranges from the preparation and financial control of a £1.8 billion budget, to the payment of over 42,000 employees, 32,000 pensioners and in excess of 700,000 bills incurred over the County Council's wide range of activities.
Human Resources is also a division of the Corporate Services. HR consists of a strategic HR function supported by expert centres to provide staff and managers with a quality service. HR is organised into the following centres; Employment Practice; Resourcing; Health and Wellbeing; Learning, Development; Education Personnel and Strategic Business Partners.

Policy & Governance
Policy and Governance is responsible for Corporate and Legal Services which includes Corporate Policy Development and Implementation, Democratic Services and the County Council’s Hampshire Legal Services; Corporate Communications; Emergency Planning and Internal Audit.
