Below are examples of projects that are currently available as part of work experience within Hampshire County Council within the library service

• Investigate how technology assists library staff undertake their job roles.

• How does the County Council encourage its customers to use its library services?

• Investigate how the County Council has improved library services over the last 10 years

• How do libraries help people to develop their knowledge and skills?

• Libraries are discovery centres assisting users to learn and discover new things. Argue for or against this.

• Investigate how the library decides which resources to stock (books, tapes, CD, etc.).

• Who funds the purchase of library stocks (books and other material)?

• How does the County Council ensure that all people have equal access to the different library services?

• Do people across the County have access to the same library services? What factors can influence this?

• What knowledge and skills are required by staff working in the County’s libraries?

• Investigate the different ways that the County’s library service provides learning opportunities.
