Hampshire County Structure Plan
The publication of the final version of the South East Plan on 6 May 2009 has the effect of abolishing the remaining 24 live provisions and policies of the former Hampshire County Structure Plan.
No provisions or policies of the County Structure Plan are in force as of 6 May 2009.
The Hampshire County Structure Plan had ceased to have any effect from 27 September 2007 with the exception of 24 policies (known as 'saved policies'). Those 24 policies remained in force until 6 May 2009, because of a direction issued by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
For reference purposes only, the 24 saved Structure Plan policies were:-
G1-2 which identified the location of Strategic Gaps in Hampshire;
G4 which defined the general location and extent of the South West Hampshire Green Belt;
EC6 about Dibden Bay;
H1- 4 which quantified provision for housebuilding;
MDA2 which set out the scale, composition and broad location of the Major Development Area at West of Waterlooville;
T5 which set out transportation requirements in relation to development;
T11 and T14-21 which safeguarded land for future transport schemes;
E7 which governed development in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty;
E14-17 which sought to preserve features and areas of historic interest.
