Personal Searches

In Person

Our highway 'register' may be searched in person for which we charge a fee of £11.00. We require an appointment to be made at least 48 hours in advance (please note we require 24 hours notice of cancellation, otherwise the charge may still be made). We allow a maximum of 6 personal searches per appointment, although 'back to back' appointments may be allowed at our discretion.

Please use the online form to book an appointment to carry out a search in person.  Your appointment will be confirmed by e-mail.  If there is a problem with your requested appointment time we will contact you to arrange an alternative time.  Payment can be made on-line with all major credit and debit cards using this form.  If you would prefer to speak to a Land Charges officer directly to book an appointment please telephone 01962 846905.  If you wish to send a question or query to us electronically, please use our feedback form.

Postal/Faxed/Emailed Personal Searches

A personal search may be requested by letter, fax or email with the address/location of the property or land, a plan identifying the property and other key areas that relate to the enquiry.The fee starts at £11 for the one question plus an additional £5 for each of any/all subsequent questions The response will be faxed, emailed or posted back within 48 hours, though we will endeavour to return it the same day. Payment can be made on-line using all major credit and debit cards. Alternatively payment can be made by cheque and, if multiple applications are made, we may invoice by arrangement.  If you would like to request a personal search and pay on-line please use the online form.
