• Planning is a technical process and as such planning documentation has to use a lot of technical language. If you come across a word or phrase you are unfamiliar with then try looking it up in the glossary.

• Finally, if you are using one of our online services (commenting on an application, filling in an application form and certificates or making a complaint) then please refer to the appropriate guidance notes - by following this guidance we will be able to deal with your submission as quickly as possible. Applications which do not follow the standard template will not be valid.
