Hampshire County Council's Statement of Community Involvement - Public Examination and Adoption

Following submission to Government in November 2005, Hampshire County Council's Statement of Community Involvement underwent public examination by written representations before a Planning Inspector. The Inspector found that the Hampshire Statement of Community Involvement was sound, subject to Hampshire County Council making nine recommended changes. The Inspector's report (PDF, 3374KB) is available to read online.

Whilst the Inspector's Report is binding on the County Council, the recommended changes did not affect the substance of the Statement of Community Involvement. All the recommended changes were made.

The Hampshire Statement of Community Involvement (PDF, 530KB) was then adopted by Hampshire County Council on 28 September 2006 (the list of consultees (PDF, 356KB) referred to in Appendix 1 of the Statement of Community Involvement is also available).

As required, an Adoption Statement has been prepared and advertised. It sets out where copies of the Statement of Community Involvement may be viewed, and also sets out the recourse available to persons who have been aggrieved by the adoption of the Statement of Community Involvement.
