Examination-in-Public
The draft Plan was debated at a type of public inquiry called an Examination-in-Public (EiP) during November 2006 - March 2007. The EiP was conducted by an independent panel of three planning inspectors.

The report of the independent panel which conducted the Examination-in-Public was published on 29 August 2007. It contains 300 recommendations for changes to the draft plan.
