South East Plan

Central Hampshire and New Forest

The South East Plan proposes that 800 new dwellings per year should be planned for in Central Hampshire and New Forest, which would mean 16,000 new properties being built over the 20 years.

There are many sites that are already earmarked for house building and other suitable sites will become available within urban areas over the next 20 years. These could provide around 14,000 new homes over the period of the plan, leaving only 2,000 dwellings for which new sites need to be identified.
