Welcome to Hampshire County Council's Urban Living website. The County Council has developed these web pages to help promote a higher quality of life for residents in Hampshire's wide variety of urban areas, from large towns to market towns and suburbs. It provides information on the most pertinent strategies, publications and projects within the County Council and demonstrates examples of the best development practice in Hampshire.

The website was first established as part of Hampshire County Council's response to the Government’s Urban White Paper and work on delivering the urban renaissance and now responds to the Government's subsequent Sustainable Communities Plan (2003) with its long-term programme of action.
