Traffic Order Proposal - 30MPH Fox's Lane, Penwood

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area.


Hampshire County Council proposes making a traffic order as follows:

EFFECT OF ORDER : Will impose a 30mph speed limit on that length of C5 Fox's Lane at Penwood (existing 40mph) between a point 183 metres south-east of its junction with the A343 and a point 504 metres south-east of that point.

The existing 40mph limit either side of the new 30mph limit described above will remain in force.

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the orders to be revoked may be viewed at or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i) Kingsclere Library, The Village Club, George Street (Opening hours : Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 – 5.30; Saturdays 10.30 – 3)

(ii) Borough Council Offices, London Road, Basingstoke (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5; Fridays 8.30 – 4.30)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C658/MB by 15 February 2013. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, Woolton Hill and Ball Hill) (30 and 40 Miles per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2013."
