Traffic Order Proposal - 30MPH Speed Limit in B3334 Gosport Road at Stubbington

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Fareham, Gosport areas.


Hampshire County Council proposes making a traffic order as follows:

EFFECT OF ORDER: To impose a 30 mph speed limit (currently 40 mph) on that length of B3334 Gosport Road at Stubbington between a point 107 metres east of its junction with Marks Road (i.e. the eastern termination of the existing 30mph limit) and a point 140 metres east of that junction, an approximate distance of 33 metres. The order will also correct minor anomalies contained in existing orders.

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the orders to be revoked/part revoked may be viewed at or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i) Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.45 – 5.15; Fridays 8.45 – 4.45)

(ii) Stubbington Library, Stubbington Lane, Stubbington (Opening hours : Mondays 9 – 7; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9 – 5; Saturdays 9.30 – 1)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C657/ MB by 28 February 2013. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, B3334 / B3385, Crofton, Stubbington and Peel Common) (Restricted Road and 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2013."
