THE BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH (HURSLEY ROAD, CHANDLER’S FORD) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY EXCEPT FOR ACCESS) ORDER 201X
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Eastleigh Borough Council pursuant to arrangements under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council proposes to make the Order above in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act").
It is proposed to introduce a Prohibition of Entry Except for Access restriction along the service road (172-232) located along south western side of Hursley Road from Pine road and terminating south east of Cuckoo Bushes Lane.
The service Road adjacent to Hursley Road is being used for non-residents car parking. As a result of this indiscriminate parking, delivery vehicles and residents have experienced difficulties when trying to access properties within this service road.
It is also been brought to the attention of this authority that the indiscriminate parking within this service road is a result of residents/visitors leaving their vehicles and walking to dwellings in nearby developments as opposed to workers of a nearby business.
It is considered appropriate to help reduce the alleged obstruction, long term indiscriminate parking, improvement of sight lines and access to residents at this location by the recommendation to proceed with the advertisement of this restriction.
A copy of the Order, a plan and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at my office at the Civic Offices, Leigh Road, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website: www.eastleigh.gov.uk/TRO
Objections to these proposals together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing or via the form on the Council's website to the undersigned by 26 April 2013. Letters of support for these proposals will also be received during this period.
