Shakespeare Road and St John's Road, Eastleigh

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area.

BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SHAKESPEARE ROAD AND ST JOHN'S ROAD (AT JUNCTIONS WITH TWYFORD ROAD), EASTLEIGH

By arrangements made under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a temporary closure order pursuant to the legislation above as the Council is satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road(s) below should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road, the effect of which is detailed below.

Roads to be Closed:
Shakespeare Road (at junction with Twyford Road) and St John's Road (at junction with Twyford Road)

Alternative Route:
Twyford Road/Woodside Avenue/Shakespeare Road and its reverse

Reason for Closure:
Highway Improvements

Period of Closure:
The order will be effective from 1 July 2013 for a period of 6 months; however it is anticipated that the closure will only be in place for approximately 4 weeks during the school summer holiday period (24 July – 2 Sept. 2013)

The closures specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2002.
