Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area.

BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF QUOB LANE, WEST END

By arrangements made under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a temporary closure order pursuant to the legislation above as the Council is satisfied that traffic and pedestrians on the road below should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road, the effect of which is detailed below.

Roads to be Closed:
Quob Lane – from a point approximately 40 metres south of the motorway bridge to the junction with Allington Lane.

Alternative Route:
Quob Lane/Allington Lane/A27 Swaythling Road/High Street/Chapel Road/Quob Lane and its reverse

Reason for Closure:
To allow for ditch clearance

Period of Closure:
The order will be effective from 20 May 2013 for a period of six months; however it is expected that the closure will only be in place until 24 May 2013. The closure will only be in place between the hours of 0900 and 1700 hrs.

The closures specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2002.
