EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CRANBURY ROAD, EASTLEIGH
By arrangements made under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council has made an emergency temporary closure notice pursuant to the legislation above as the Council is satisfied that traffic and pedestrians on the road below should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road, the effect of which is detailed below.
Roads to be Closed:
Cranbury Road, between its junction with Cherbourg Road and its junction with Chestnut Avenue
Chestnut Avenue between its junction with Cranbury Road and its junction with Arnold Road
Reason for Order:
For reasons of public safety whilst emergency gas repairs are carried out
Period of Closure:
From Friday 14 June 2013 for a maximum of 21 days (notwithstanding it is expected that works will be completed within five days). Dependent on the nature and extent of the necessary repair, it is hoped that works may be safely completed without the closure of Chestnut Avenue being put into place.
The closures specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2002.
Access to businesses and properties will be maintained
