ADVANCE SCHEDULE HART DISTRICT - OCTOBER 2013
Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:
Effect of Order: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
Roads to be closed:
1. BLACKBUSHES ROAD, HARTLEY WINTNEY
(For approx 2 days) Diversion via A30, A327 Minley Road & B3013 Minley Road
2. LAYBY EAST OF BROAD OAK, A287 FARNHAM ROAD ODIHAM
(For approx 5 days to resurface lay-by) NB Only the lay-by will be closed, the A287 will remain open. No Alternative Route
This Order may be cited as “ The Hart District Council (Temporary Road Closure) (Advance Schedule October 2013) Order 2013”.
Reason for Closure:
Routine works/or associated maintenance on or near the road by Hampshire County Council.
During the period of any closure, the diversion route will be signed.
Duration of Closure:
From 9th October 2013 for a period of 12 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days). ADVANCE WARNING NOTICES WILL BE DISPLAYED APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF ANY ROAD CLOSURE BEING ENFORCED (excluding any emergency works). Wherever possible reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out. Letters will be sent to properties within the limits of any closure prior to works commencing notifying them of the detailed arrangements. Additionally we will attempt to contact any significant businesses and establishments (e.g. schools, hospitals, etc) within or near to closures to discuss the effects of the works.
