Temporary Road Closure - Hewshott Lane, Liphook

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area.

'Proposes to Make' Notice:

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – HEWSHOTT LANE, LIPHOOK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an order to allow Openreach (BT) to carry out pole and cable works on the highway, to be undertaken as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That part of Hewshott Lane, Liphook between its north-westerly junction with Hewshott Grove and a point 310 metres north-west thereof.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: from eastern point of closure: Hewshott Lane, Hammer Lane, Hammer Vale, Hammer Lane, Linchmere Road, Liphook Road, Haslemere Road, Portsmouth Road, B 2070 London Road, Hewshott Lane to north-western point of closure and vice-versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 23 September 2013 for a period of 3 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm.)

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.

Order that has been made:

THE HAMPSHIRE (HEWSHOTT LANE, LIPHOOK) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2013

Hampshire County Council being the Traffic Authority is satisfied that traffic in the under-mentioned road should be prohibited by reason of works being or proposed to be executed thereon, and therefore, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, hereby makes the following order:

1. Subject to the provision of article 2 below, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in that part of Hewshott Lane between its north-westerly junction with Hewshott Grove and a point 310 metres north-west thereof.

2. The provision of article 1 above shall apply only at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

3. This order shall be in operation from 23 September 2013 for a period of 3 months or until completion of the works whichever is the sooner.

4. This order may be cited as “The Hampshire (Hewshott Lane ) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2013”.
