Traffic Order Proposals - Waiting Restrictions in Catherington Lane and Barton Cross, Horndean

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CATHERINGTON LANE AND BARTON CROSS, HORNDEAN

Hampshire County Council proposes making a traffic order as follows:

EFFECT OF ORDER: To prohibit / restrict waiting on specified sides of roads at Horndean as follows:

1. No Waiting at Any Time

Catherington Lane – east side

(i) Between a point 28 metres north its junction with Barton Cross and its junction with Heath Close.

(ii) Between its junction with Heath Close and a point 25 metres north thereof.

Barton Cross – north side

(i) Between a point 13 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 20 metres east of that point.

Barton Cross – south side

(i) Between a point 14 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 14 metres east of that point.

Heath Close – north and west side

(i) Between its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 25 metres east thereof.

Heath Close – south and east side

(i) Between its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 25 metres east thereof.

2. No waiting Monday to Friday (both days inclusive) 8.00am to 8.45am and 1.45pm to 3.30pm

Barton Cross – south side

(i) Between a point 36 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 8 metres east of that point.

(ii) Between a point 53 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 9 metres east of that point.

(iii) Between a point 68 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 87 metres east of that point.

Barton Cross (crescent spur, west) – west side

(i) Between its western junction with Barton Cross and a point 17 metres south thereof.

Barton Cross (crescent spur) – south side

(i) Between a point 30 metres south and east of its western junction with Barton Cross and a point 5 metres east of that point

(ii) Between a point 45 metres south and east of its western junction with Barton Cross and a point 6 metres east of that point.

Barton Cross (crescent spur, east) – east side

(i) Between its eastern junction with Barton Cross and a point 10 metres south thereof.

(ii) Between a point 19 metres south of its eastern junction with Barton Cross and a point 6 metres south of that point.

Barton Cross (crescent spur) – entire northern kerbline, all sides

(i) For its entire length, between its western and eastern junctions with Barton Cross, an approximate distance of 80 metres.

Heath Close – north and west side

(i) Between a point 74 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 54 metres east and north thereof.

Heath Close – south and east side

(i) Between a point 25 metres east of its junction with Catherington Lane and a point 111 metres east and north thereof.

Note: exemptions will be in place for loading / unloading and disabled persons’ parking

(i) Horndean Library, Fiveheads Road (Opening hours: Mondays and Thursdays 2 – 5; Wednesdays 10 – 1 and 2 – 5; Fridays 2 – 7)

(ii) Council Offices, Civic Centre Road, Havant (Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays 9 – 5)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS : All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference: A901/SL by 06 December 2013. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Catherington Lane, Barton Cross and Heath Close, Horndean) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2014.”
