TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS - 30MPH SPEED LIMIT IN HAYLING ISLAND

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Havant area.

EFFECT OF ORDER :     To impose a 30mph speed limit by virtue of a prescribed system of street lighting (currently 40mph) on that length of A3023 Havant Road, between a point 100 metres north of its junction with New Cut and its junction with A3023 Manor Road / Church Road, an approximate distance of 3,350 metres.

FURTHER DETAILS :     A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the order to be revoked may be viewed in the attachment to this notice or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i)    Hayling Island Library, Elm Grove (Opening hours : Mondays 9.30 – 7; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9.30 – 5; Saturdays 9.30 – 1)

(ii)   Civic Offices, Civic Centre Road, Havant (Opening hours : Mondays to Fridays 9 – 5)

(iii)   Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS :   All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C700/MB by 7 March 2014. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made.  Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE :   The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (A3023 Havant and Hayling Island) (Restricted Road and 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2014.”
