Botley Road and Highwood Lane, Romsey

Highways – Temporary Speed Restrictions from Hampshire County Council in Test Valley area.

TEMPORARY 6' 6" WIDTH RESTRICTION – BOTLEY ROAD AND HIGHWOOD LANE, ROMSEY.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council has made a temporary 6' 6" width restriction order in the interests of public safety in connection with the A27 Railway Bridge closure.

ROADS TO BE RESTRICTED:

1. that part of Botley Road (C135) between its mini roundabout junction with A3090 Winchester Road / Winchester Hill and its roundabout junction with A27 Botley Road / Luzborough Lane.
2. that part of Highwood Lane (C135) between its junction with Green Lane and its junction with Botley Road (C135).

PERIOD OF RESTRICTION: From 19th April 2012 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 15 weeks.)

Access will be maintained for buses, emergency service vehicles, refuse collection vehicles and road maintenance vehicles during this period.
