Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – HIGH STREET, EAST MEON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an order to allow for works on the highway to be undertaken as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That part of High Street between its junction with Chapel Street and its junction with Frogmore Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Phase 1: Clanfield Road, Chalton Lane, East Meon Road, A3, A272 Winchester Road, East Meon Road.

Phase 2: Workhouse Lane, Church Road, C28 East Meon Road, Church Street.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 14th May 2012 for a period of 12 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 days.)

Diversion routes will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
