THE HAMPSHIRE (C156 ALDERSHOT ROAD, CHURCH CROOKHAM) (EXPERIMENTAL PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS) ORDER 2016

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Rushmoor area.

EFFECT OF ORDER: Will, for an experimental period of 18 months prohibit vehicles from making right turn manoeuvres from C156 Aldershot Road into A323 Fleet Road at Church Crookham.

Exemptions will be in place for emergency service vehicles.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into operation on 2 June 2016 and continue in force until 30 November 2017.

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice and the order as made together with a map showing the location and effect of the order and a statement of reasons can be viewed in the attachment to this notice, or may be inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i) Fleet Library, 236 Fleet Road, Fleet (Opening hours : Mondays to Fridays 9.30 – 6; Saturdays 9.30 – 5)

(ii) Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5; Fridays 8.30 – 4.30)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS TO MAKING THE ORDER PERMANENT: The County Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of an order for this purpose and such objections must be sent in writing to the undersigned, quoting reference A978/MB, by 1 December 2016. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person who desires to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of those Sections or of Parts I, II, or III of Schedule 9 to the Act or any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 have not been complied with in relation to the order may, by 20 June 2016 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
