THE HAMPSHIRE (EAST HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT NO. 9) (PARISH OF HORNDEAN - FOOTOPATH 8) PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017

Rights of Way – Legal Order from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area.

On the 21 August 2017 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public footpath in the Parish of Horndean that runs westward from a junction with London Road (Service Road) at Point A on the Order plan, then northwards to a junction with South Road (U218) at Point B on the Order plan.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ, and at the offices of East Hampshire District Council, Penns Place, Petersfield, GU31 4EX at all reasonable hours; and online at http://www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. Copies of the Order and the map may be bought from me at a price of £4.40.

The Order comes into force on 18 September 2017, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 25 August 2017 make application to the High Court.
