TRAFFIC ORDER SCHEME – ROAD HUMP, PACKENHAM ROAD, BASINGSTOKE

Hampshire County Council proposes introducing a traffic calming scheme as follows:

EFFECT OF SCHEME :       The provision of a single table top / road hump in Packenham Road, Basingstoke, to connect the two sections of footway adjacent to No.79, as follows:

Located in Packenham Road the raised table will start from a point 28.48 metres from the centre of the adjoining garage access road adjacent to No.104 Packenham Road, measured in a westerly direction.  The table will measure a total length of 16.04 metres, 13.8 metres long plus the gradient ramps at either end, each measuring 1.12 metres and providing a slope gradient of 1:15.   The table height will be 75 millimetres above the existing surface level and will extend across the entire width of each of the carriageways, a total width of 6.1 metres.

(ii)       Basingstoke Discovery Centre, 19/20 Westminster House, Festival Place (Opening Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 6.30; Saturday 8.30 – 4.30)

(iii)     Hampshire County Council Reception, The Castle, Sussex Street, Winchester (Opening Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.00)

OBJECTIONS :   All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- A1017 /SL by 2nd February 2018.   All objections must state the grounds on which they are made.  Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the traffic calming implementation process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.
