Highways – Temporary Speed Restrictions from Hart District Council in Hart area.

Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:


To impose a 30mph speed restriction on that length of Bidden Road from its junction with Deptford Lane and West Street from its junction with North Warnborough Street, as indicated by traffic signs.

(No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.)


From 1st May 2018 for a period of nine months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the restriction will be required for no longer than six months ). The restriction will be continuously enforced during the period specified.

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
