The Borough of Eastleigh (Hedge End, West End and Botley) (Amendment No 4) Order 2018

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eastleigh Borough Council pursuant to arrangements with Hampshire County Council has made the above mentioned Traffic Regulation Orders in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2, 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The general effect of this Order is to insert into The Borough of Eastleigh (Hedge End, West End and Botley) Consolidation Order 2015 new waiting restrictions, and amend some existing restrictions as detailed below:

a) 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions in the following roads:

Beechwood Rise

Chalk Hill

Charterhouse Way

Freegrounds Avenue

Swincombe Rise

Haileybury Gardens


Kings Copse Road

Mapleton Road

Radley Close

The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2018 . A copy of the Order may be inspected at my office at Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Councils website:

Any persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 16 November 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose
