Stakeholder event to develop services for domestic abuse perpetrators
Consultation from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane, East Hampshire, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Hart, Havant, Isle of Wight, New Forest, Outside of Hampshire, Portsmouth, Rushmoor, Southampton, Test Valley, Winchester areas.
Hampshire County Council, Southampton City Council and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are holding an event on the 8 June in Winchester, 9.30 -12.00 for potential providers to hear about the forthcoming opportunity to develop services for domestic abuse perpetrators. The interactive event will give organisations the chance to contribute to the future approach and delegates will learn more about the plans to develop effective interventions for perpetrators and to help reduce household violence. We are looking for a collaborative approaches to work with agencies in a development programme which will aim to: • Improve the recording and sharing of information on household violence and perpetrators • Promote a consistent approach to assessing risk and needs for perpetrators • Work with wider public services to provide specialist support for needs-led solutions for ending violence. • Work with partners to help optimise the capacity of all agencies to tackle violence when working with individuals and families. • Work with an academic partner to evaluate what works
