Tender from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane, East Hampshire, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Hart, Havant, Isle of Wight, New Forest, Outside of Hampshire, Portsmouth, Rushmoor, Southampton, Test Valley, Winchester areas.
The collection, storage and disposal of abandoned vehicles within Hampshire except for the areas under the control of Southampton and Portsmouth City Councils which are not included. The district authorities, as Waste Collection Authorities (WCA), and Hampshire County Council as Waste Disposal Authority (WDA) have legal duties regarding abandoned vehicles. The WCA are responsible for the collection of abandoned vehicles within their area and the WDA is responsible for their storage and disposal. There are two options that are each to be priced: Option 1 –County wide collection, storage and disposal. Option 2 –County wide storage and disposal only The estimated contract value is £120,000 however this figure is not guaranteed. The requirement of the Waste Collection Authorities to remove vehicles and for Hampshire County Council to arrange their disposal is driven by instances of illegal abandonment and so the number of vehicles to be dealt with, their type, or the frequency of collections, cannot be guaranteed. Information and guidance supplied in the Invitation to Tender documents is given for guidance only and indicates the number of requests made in the relevant financial year April - March. The figures should not be interpreted as an undertaking to purchase any services to any particular value and do not form part of the contract.

The effect of this proposed Traffic Regulation Order (legal order) will be to make the existing waiting restrictions, already marked on the developments roads enforceable by Eastleigh Borough Councils Civil Enforcement Officers upon adoption of the road by Hampshire County Council. Some additional lining is to be proposed that is not marked on site.
