Good health and well-being are important both to individuals and to wider society, in terms of improving quality and length of life, the costs of treating ill health and reduced productivity due to illness and premature death.

AFC Smokefree! |
![]() Working in the first instance with Havant and Waterlooville FC, Fareham Town FC and Gosport Borough FC and other sports and leisure clubs as appropriate, to promote the Smoke Free Lives, Sports and Leisure project. This project was created and funded to raise the profile and message about stopping smoking and NHS services to routine and manual groups (and their families in a new way), through activity and leisure and predominantly but nor exclusively ‘football’. Picnic in the Park |
![]() In 2005, Police Officers at Gosport recorded a rise in youth ASB and an apparent fall in perceptions of the Police in the Bridgemary area. Consequently a detailed survey of 1800 homes was carried out by Hampshire Constabulary, with results indicating that residents’ perceptions of crime were high, but also a belief that Police Officers did not care for Bridgemary. The Bridge Project aimed to reduce levels of ASB whilst similtaniously improving the perceptions of the Police. (Source - CCRA) 2009/10 |
The Horrill Centre |
![]() The design proposals for the new Well-Being and Day Opportunity Centre were developed in close consultation with a wide range of specialists, consultants and other stakeholders. The master plan for the site was developed in collaboration with New Forest District Council. A Majestic Tree |
![]() Sir Harold Hillier Gardens is a Garden of international importance and is managed and operated by Hampshire County Council as the sole Trustee. As a charity there is a need to engage local residents and regular visitors to enjoy the gardens as their own, With this in mind some schemes have been developed that both involve the local community and support the gardens; such as Adopt a tree, memorial bench and legacies as well as volunteering. HC3S Cook and Eat sessions |
