This theme is about making sure that families can experience support and guidance from a range of services in a local area whilst ensuring that families experience a ‘joined up approach’ which will help them to receive appropriate support speedily and without recourse to competing bureaucratic systems.

Free Range ‘Eggsellence’ for Hampshire County Council |

Calshot Activities |

KS4-KS5 transition |
![]() A major priority for the CYPP is to provide access for all ethnic minority late arrivals in school or 16-19 provision. It targets all bilingual young people at KS4 in two districts. Late arriving 14-19 year olds had been contacting the Nepali telephone help line, concerned at having to study English for a year at 16-19 college before being accepted for vocational or academic courses, highlighting the different emphasis (subject skills vs. language skills) between schools and colleges. Volunteer advocacy pool for children in care |

Junior Community Teams - Michael |
![]() The Accredited Community Safety Officers from the Southern TAOR ran the Junior Community Team at Rowner Junior School. This team consisted of 15 year 6 pupils from the school who were selected due to their low self-esteem and challenging behaviour. The team also consisted of mentor figures who could assist those more needy. The team would take part in sessions that would benefit the community and encourage them to be responsible citizens over the course of the next 6 months. They work with older residents, help the environment and learn about responsible citizenship. Building Schools for the Future (BSF) in Hampshire |
![]() The County Council has identified Havant and Gosport as its highest priority areas for BSF investment because they are the areas of the county with the highest levels of social and educational need, measured by Tax Credit data and GCSE performance.
