Recycling this Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

But down in the kitchen, with an empty sweet tin, Alison searched for some space in the bin...

When down through the chimney, Santa dropped and seeing her standing there suddenly stopped,

"What are you doing with that empty tin?! That should go in the recycling bin!"

Remember to recycle these seasonal items:

  • Biscuit and sweet tins

  • Small delivery and toy boxes (large boxes can be taken to a Household Waste Recycling Centre)

  • Cards and envelopes

  • Cardboard rolls from inside crackers

  • Cardboard tubes from wrapping paper

You can also recycle your real Christmas trees at a Household Waste Recycling Centre. And don't forget to recycle your glass bottles and jars, either at a bottle bank or via your kerbside glass collection (if you have one).

And don't forget to keep recycling the rest of your tins and cans, aerosols, paper and plastic bottles!
