School Visits to the Red House Museum – New and Revised Programme!
This year we offer our new and revised programme full of engaging and interactive sessions which involve the children in exploring the subject matter and encourage learning in a lively and fun way. The programme builds on our collections of Victorian social history, toys and archaeology, and most sessions involve handling museum collections, exploring the relevant parts of the museum, and a range of led activities.

Explore: Connect: Create
(Suitable for KS1, KS2 & KS3)
Explore: Connect: Create is our new creative offer to schools and groups. Using museum displays and our exhibitions programme as stimulus, children are given opportunities to respond to them through creative, child-led activities. From developing sketchbooks to creating mini-museums, we can work with teachers ad group leaders to create an engaging experience at the museums.
This is a great way to make the most of our varied art exhibitions and can be focused to support Explore, Discover and Bronze Arts Awards. Talk to us to find out more.
- Led sessions cost £25 per hour and they are for one class and for up to 2 hours
