Ordering Copies of Marriage Certificates
Please read these notes before filling in the application form
Are you applying for a copy Marriage Certificate?
When you apply for a certificate please state the exact name of the register office, church or other building where the marriage took place; the date of the marriage; the full names of both parties at the time of the marriage and, if possible, the names of the witnesses.
Records of marriage are kept in the registration district where the marriage took place. Please send your application to the Registration Office nearest to the place where the marriage occurred. If necessary it will be forwarded to the correct office.
Ordering Marriage Certificates:
The online ordering system is currently under development, and will be out of commission until the end of July 2008.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but you are still welcome to continue to order certificates over the telephone or by post.
You can order certificates over the telephone by contacting the applicable registration office.
By Cheque - for registrations in Hampshire only (excluding Southampton and Portsmouth):
Cheques should be made payable to 'Hampshire County Council' - see information about fees (form to be printed off and sent in with cheque to the appropriate registration office - List of Registration Offices):
