Hampshire Registration Service

IMPORTANT - Changes to Hampshire Registration Service - 1 January 2008

On 1st January 2008, the 10 Hampshire Registrations Districts and their various sub-districts were united in one Registration District of Hampshire.

The new district will comprise one Register Office (in Winchester) and the former Register Offices and outstations will be renamed "Registration Offices".

Under most circumstances, customers may access any one of the Registration (Register) Offices in order to register births, deaths, stillbirths, or to give notices of marriage or civil partnership.  We believe that our customers will find the new Registration Service will be more convenient and accessible, whilst retaining some continuity for those unfamiliar with the changes.

Marriage, Civil Partnership, Citizenship or Alternative Ceremonies should continue to be booked with the Registration Office that covers the locality where the ceremony is to take place, as shown on the map below.

Certificate applications should also continue to be made to the local Registration Office, as detailed in our page for ordering copy certificates.
