The Parish List shows the historic parishes of Hampshire and the locality (former districts) that covered them.  It can be used to find out in which area of the county a particular parish lies.  Registration District boundaries changed over the years, but it is a good indication of which Registration Office to apply to for certificates for births, deaths and marriages covering events in a particular parish.

How to find the parish you are looking for

To find the parish you are looking for click on the applicable letter below.  Example:  If you were looking for the parish of Littleton. Click on the letter L below, this will bring up a list of all the parishes in Hampshire beginning with L.  The list will be in alphabetical order.  Each parish on the list gives the name of the registration office where the records are held. The appropriate one for Littleton is Winchester.  The registration office name is a hyperlink to the contact details for that Registration Office.  In this example the link for Winchester will take you to the information for Winchester Register Office.
