Remembrance Funeral Ceremony
What is a Remembrance Funeral Ceremony?
A Remembrance Ceremony offers an alternative to a traditional funeral, allowing you the opportunity to choose a unique and personal way of saying 'goodbye' to a loved one.
Such a ceremony could include memorabilia, family tributes and anecdotes together with favourite music or readings.
Family members and friends could also be invited to take part.
When could a Remembrance Funeral Ceremony take place?
At any time following a death: at the time of the funeral, when interring ashes, or sometime afterwards.
Where would a Remembrance Funeral Ceremony be held?
The ceremony could take place at any suitable venue, other than in a religious building: at the crematorium or the graveside, in your home, a hotel, or anywhere else that you may choose, such as a particularly favourite place.
Why choose a Remembrance Funeral Ceremony?
A traditional religious funeral may not suit everyone so the option of having a civil ceremony in which individual beliefs may be reflected through words, readings and music can be very comforting.
The family will be encouraged to participate in designing the ceremony.
You will be asked to for your personal memories and other relevant details and a unique and personal tribute will be created which can be kept and treasured.
What will happen?
