Chartermark success
The Recreation and Heritage department, now Culture, Communities and Rural Affairs, has successfully renewed its Charter Mark accreditation for Excellence in Customer Service. The external assessment took place in April including visits to a number of our sites including libraries at Whitchurch and Basingstoke, the Willis Museum and Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham, country parks at Lepe and Manor Farm, the Tile Barn outdoor activities centre, and in Winchester visits to the Hampshire Record Office and the Winchester Discovery Centre. Once again all our sites won praise for their commitment and dedication to providing the best possible experience for people using our services.
"Hampshire County Council Recreation and Heritage Department is fully committed to delivering high quality customer focussed services. Staff are enthusiastic and well trained and go out of their way to provide an excellent experience for customers. The Department has made considerable progress against all elements of Charter Mark and it has embedded within the organisation the continuous improvement model Charter Mark provides. Customers are the most important people for all staff working within the service and their friendliness and helpfulness to a wide and diverse range of customers were clearly apparent during the visit."
