Licence to retain apparatus on the public highway  (S50a) - Conditions Summary

The applicant will need to include the following documents with the completed application form:

• Plan showing location and extent of the apparatus

• Proof of £10 million public liability insurance to cover .See condition 7 (p.3).

• Licence fee, comprising of a payment of £110 (£55 administration & £55 inspection fee).

• Detailed planning approval. (If required).

• Details of the dimensions, manufacturer, type and nature of the apparatus.

Licence to make an excavation in the public highway for the purpose of installing apparatus (S50b) - Conditions Summary

The applicant will need to include the following documents with the completed application form.

• 1:500 plan showing location and extent of excavation

• Proof of contractors accreditation under the NRSWA 1991 Codes of Practice.

• Proof of £10 million public liability insurance to cover the proposed works

• Licence fee, comprising of a payment of £110 (£55 administration & £55 inspection fee).

Both application conditions must be read in full and the application signed in the presence of a witness.
