How to get involved in Scrutiny
All Overview and Scrutiny Committee meetings are held in public and anyone is welcome to attend to listen to the proceedings.
One of the main ways in which the Scrutiny Committees gather the evidence they need to inform their reviews is through inviting individuals, groups and stakeholders with a particular knowledge of the subject to contribute. This not only enables the Members of the review group to make better informed recommendations - based on the evidence collected throughout the review - but also provides individuals and organisations from outside the Council an opportunity to contribute their views to the debate.
If you have been invited to provide evidence to a scrutiny review, you may respond to the key questions by emailing the Scrutiny Team at firstname.lastname@example.org, 01962 845018 or post:
Hampshire County Council
Alternatively, you may have been invited to provide oral evidence to a review group, and there is guidance on giving written and oral evidence available to assist you.
