South East Region SEN Hub
Working together for children and young people with special educational needs

Welcome
The SE regional SEN Hub provides us with an opportunity to share practice and learn from each other as we work together for children and young people with special educational needs.
Hampshire has been asked to support and coordinate four strands of work:
- Strand One - Disseminating and embedding the Inclusion Development Programme: Phase 1, SLCN and dyslexia; Phase 2, Autism; Phase 3, BESD.
- Strand Two - Developing work around progression - narrowing the attainment gap; identifying what constitutes good progress for low attaining pupils and evaluating good value for money.
- Strand Three - There are three elements to this strand: Planning provision, statutory compliance and transition support.
- Strand Four - A regional strand developed collaboratively. This will consider the transfer of responsibilities from the Learning Skills Council (LSC) to local authorities.
There are tremendous pressures on colleagues in local authorities in the south east to deliver new programmes and meet challenging targets at a time of transformational change. We want the hub to provide opportunities to share knowledge and expertise, facilitate collaborative working and build a supportive network across the nineteen local authorities in the region. Welcome to the Hub!
