Meals on wheels

The Meals on Wheels service delivers hot meals and is for people who are unable to cook for themselves because they are old, frail or disabled and there is no one else who can support them.

The Meals on Wheels service may only be provided after an assessment by a care manager, which is subject to the eligibility criteria for the Adult Services department.

Meals cost up to £2.90 per meal and all meals provided meet the National Association of Care Catering Standards.

There may be other community services or lunch clubs that are available to people who do not meet the eligibility criteria. Please see other organsiations and groups as many offer help with preparing and providing meals
