Torch Relay Route Announcement
The detailed route of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay is now available to view. This page now helps you find out which roads the torch will go down and where any stops will be made. Check out the route if you are planning to attend!
Want to get involved?
If you would like to be involved in the excitement, there are opportunities to volunteer as a marshall and help to manage the crowds, please visit Hampshire 2012.
Wherever you decide to watch the torch, remember that it goes in a van between towns
The Olympic Torch is not carried on foot for its entire 70 day journey. It is only carried by running torchbearers when it goes through the towns and other communities that are clearly marked. Between these towns, the torch is carried in a van. So it is no good waiting by an A road in an out-of-town location!
All travelling will require extra planning
Each town visited will be making detailed plans to accommodate all the visitors. Please keep checking the website or customer service lines of the local district council for information.
