HTAS - Fast Track Physiotherapy

Fast-track physiotherapy is available to:

• Athletes meeting the criteria of the Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme (HTAS).
• County teams.

Key benefits

• Fast track physiotherapy appointments usually offered within 5 working days of your initial call - no GP referral needed
• Treatment between 4.30-5.30pm on Monday & Thursday at Basingstoke.  6-9pm, Monday - Thursday at Southampton Solent University; 8am-8pm Monday - Thursday and 8am-5pm on Friday at LBhealthcare, Fareham
• Full athlete report following appointment giving the name of the injury, a prognosis of optimal injury recovery, a management plan, advice on special exercises, recovery training and activities to avoid.

Cost

An annual one-off fee of £60 for individuals and £40 for county squad members (where 10 or more members join at the same time).

To apply

Individuals: Complete the application form and send it to the address stated along with a cheque made payable to Hampshire County Council.

County Squads: Telephone 01962 845178 for squad application forms. These should be requested by County Team/Squad Managers only.

Exclusions: Athletes aged under 16 with spinal trauma should go directly to their GP and not via this scheme as there is the possibility that this type of trauma can trigger something potentially more serious. If acute they should go to Accident & Emergency.

Athletes cannot be injured at the time of application.  Applications will be processed one month after application and membership of the scheme will then run for 12 months.
