South East Plan

South East Plan

The South East Plan sets out how the South East of England will grow and change over the coming 20 years. It looks at towns, cities and countryside across the region and shows how demand for new housing and economic growth will be met alongside new transport and other infrastructure. The plan will also conserve and enhance the natural environment.

The draft version of the plan was put together by the South East England Regional Assembly (SEERA) which comprises of 111 members, including councillors nominated by the region's local authorities. SEERA has recently been replaced by the South East England Partnership Board

The plan was finalised by the Government on 6th May 2009 and is a legal document which local authorities and other government agencies will have to follow.

On these pages you will find information on the plan and the next steps in finalising it, plus our concerns for the people of Hampshire.
