Saucony Hampshire Athletics Grand Prix

The Saucony Hampshire Grand Prix is a show-case Track & Field Athletics event coinciding with the 2012 Olympic 'Torch Relay' visiting Hampshire, IOW & the Channel Islands.

Location: Down Grange Athletic Track, Basingstoke

The event will be advertised widely across our neighbouring counties and in 'Athletics Weekly' in the coming week. We are very keen to give Hampshire, IOW and Channel Island competitors the first opportunity to enter. Download an entry form from the Saucony website below. (NB - only the first 15 field event entries can be accepted to enable the programme to run smoothly). We strongly encourage athletes to enter as soon as possible (prior to regional and national advertisements being placed )

We are aiming to stage a high quality event including many top athletes and, using photo-finish and EDM technology at the newly refurbished Basingstoke Track. Most of Hampshire's 20 appointed London 2012 Officials will be working at the event. There are a broad selection of track and field events across all age-groups. We also plan to use pacemakers (as in BMC Meetings) to ensure fast 800m and 3000m races.
