Hampshire County Council has entered into a partnership with Sports Hub that will provide one years access to Sports Search to all Hampshire secondary schools starting in September 2006.
Sports Search is an online system which allows young people to assess how they can become actively involved in over 100 sports and activities, by providing clear sign posting to local clubs. The system has two main online strands, a physical assessment section and an attitudinal assessment. This is an exciting tool that can be used in both formal and informal learning environments.
Training in the appropriate use of Sports Search is being rolled out through the School Sports Partnerships, with the aim that the system will be live from September 2006. Training details can be obtained from the partnership development manager in your area. Access to the system can only be given to those schools who have attended a training session.
Schools that have attended the training can log into Sports Search to begin using the system.
