Underpaid postage
It is very important that the correct amount of postage is paid on all documents sent to us. The paper application form alone weighs more than a first class stamp will cover and when additional documents are also enclosed the cost increases. Please take correspondence to us to the Post Office to have it weighed and to ensure that correct postage is paid.
Envelopes where the postage is underpaid are retained by Royal Mail and then sent to a central depot for clearing. We always pay the additional cost of underpaid correspondence but delivery to us can be delayed by as long as five or six weeks. The delay in delivery may mean a delay in the student receiving notification of entitlement or even payment of loan and grant
